Heather Hangen
Founder & Director
Heather holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Speech Communication, with a minor in biology from Texas A&M University and is a certified Christian Life Coach. She taught Transitional Kindergarten for 5 years and served as a Children’s Minister/Director for 10 years. Heather has taught and directed children’s theatre for the past 6 years and was the administrator/campus director for a hybrid-model academy last year. She LOVES learning, teaching, & coaching – coffee, crochet, & chocolate – dancing, theatre, & reading – her family, friends & students!
Chrystal Wilcox
Founder & Director
Chrystal started a hybrid-model school, which later became a charter school; and served as the Communication & Volunteer Coordinator, as well as the Fundraising Director, for 3 charter schools in Utah. After moving to Texas, she taught 2nd grade at a hybrid-model academy before feeling called to start her own. Chrystal is passionate about children being seen, heard, and reared up to the great potential they are capable of; and believes the core foundation is knowing you are a child of God and you have individual worth.
Stephanie Scadden
World Cultures
My name is Stephanie Scadden. My family and I just moved here, to Texas, last summer from Utah. We are enjoying the beautiful skies, yummy BBQ and friendly people. In addition to my own homeschooling experience for a few years in High School, I have had the opportunity to homeschool my own children for the past 9 years. I have four kids with my husband Jeff. Addy (22), Tyson (20), Jackson (17) and Boston (15). Some of my favorite things are being in the mountains and nature in general, cooking yummy foods, especially dessert and spending time with friends and family. My love of God and my Savior, Jesus Christ, drives everything I do. I love seeing them work in my life and the lives of those around me. I’m a huge fan of the arts and music and just learning about all of God’s creations. Teaching, for me, is such a wonderful opportunity to learn with the kids and make fun memories together as we do so. I’m so excited to be a part of Lavender Oaks Learning Academy!
Rachael Haught
Language Arts
Hi, I’m Rachael Haught. I am married to my best friend, Houston, and together we have four fantastic kids. I grew up in Florida but have called Texas home for nearly 12 years. As a family we love to travel, watch movies, play sports and be involved in our church community. If we’re not at home you can probably find us at a volleyball, football or baseball game.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Human Development from Brigham Young University. I have taught a lot of age groups and particularly loved my time as a morning seminary teacher for teens.
I believe that the love of learning is a lifetime pursuit and no one is too old or too young to learn something new!
Camille White
LOLA Littles & Learning to Read
My name is Camille White. I grew up in Plano, TX and now reside in Melissa, TX with my family. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in education with a focus on STEM education. I taught kindergarten for nine years and 2nd grade for one year. My specialty in teaching was helping intervention students with literacy, phonics, and mathematics skills. I love teaching and being with the sweet little kiddos! In my free time I love spending time with family, exercising, baking, and traveling. I’m so excited at the opportunity to work with your children at LOLA this year and help them continue in their love of learning.
Kimberly Alldredge
Learning Lab & Enrichment
Hi I’m Kimberly Alldredge and excited to be a part of Lavender Oaks enrichment programs. I have four children ages 20,18,8 and 6 and a very supportive husband. I have started two musical theater programs, one inside the public school system and one outside and loved every minute. I am the founder of Showstoppers which has been around since my oldest was 5! I love seeing a child’s confidence grow on and off the stage. I continue to direct/choreograph and star in community theater around the DFW area. I’m excited to get to know your kids and see them grow!
