Chrystal Wilcox
Founder & Director
Chrystal started a hybrid-model school, which later became a charter school; and served as the Communication & Volunteer Coordinator, as well as the Fundraising Director, for 3 charter schools in Utah. After moving to Texas, she taught 2nd grade at a hybrid-model academy before feeling called to start her own. Chrystal is passionate about children being seen, heard, and reared up to the great potential they are capable of; and believes the core foundation is knowing you are a child of God and you have individual worth.
Jana Jackson
Director
I grew up in Missouri moved to Utah, where I met my husband. Afterwards, we moved to California where we live for almost 13 years. I’m happy to be back in the Midwest! I’ve been homeschooling my three kids since my oldest started kindergarten 10 years ago. We love using The Good and the Beautiful and love trying new activities. I scrapbook, make cards, sewing, baking, and hanging out with friends. I love watching and helping my girls learn and grow in their interests.

Kimberly Alldredge
Learning Lab & Enrichment
Hi I’m Kimberly Alldredge and excited to be a part of Lavender Oaks enrichment programs. I have four children ages 20,18,8 and 6 and a very supportive husband. I have started two musical theater programs, one inside the public school system and one outside and loved every minute. I am the founder of Showstoppers which has been around since my oldest was 5! I love seeing a child’s confidence grow on and off the stage. I continue to direct/choreograph and star in community theater around the DFW area. I’m excited to get to know your kids and see them grow!

LOLA Littles & Learning to Read
My husband and I have twin daughters who are 11 years old. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Business Education with an Office Technologies emphasis. I have worked as an assistant for quite a few companies as well as a legal secretary for a law firm. However, I really enjoy working with children and seeing them learn and grow.
Anne Hansen
Spanish & Enrichment
Anne Hansen has been a Spanish interpreter and translator for almost 20 years and has lived in 4 different Spanish-speaking countries. She loves to use this knowledge and love of the language to teach Spanish to the kids in the Spanish enrichment class, which includes a daily scripture and popular saying, vocabulary, conversation practice and lots of games.
Anne also has been teaching music to preschool-aged children and older for over 5 years and gets to use this experience and enthusiasm to teach the music and movement class for LOLA Littles.
She has also spent many years cooking with her 6 children and loves to eat! She gets to use those skills and love of food and fun crafts in the Creative Chefs class for LOLA Littles.
In her spare time, Anne loves to read, eat, nap, spend time with her children and her friends and sit outside in beautiful places.

Science
I am so excited to be a part of your children’s learning experience at Lavender Oaks Learning Academy. My family and I are fairly new to Texas and have loved everything about it! Though I grew up in Virginia, I attended college at BYU-Idaho where I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marriage and Family Studies and a Minor in Health Sciences. Since being married, my family has lived in Washington State, Idaho and Utah. I enjoy learning, crocheting, reading, being outside with my family exploring, watching movies and cheering others on.
Aaron Jenson
Math, World Cultures, & Art
I am excited to be teaching at LOLA. I love the process of learning and growing, and have been teaching and leading Tae Kwon Do (and mixed Martial Arts) for over a decade now, dance and drama for 5 years, and board games with my friends and family since I was 9 or 10. In fact, I still am the dedicated rule reader and teacher when it comes to board games – and I have been brought over a few times to a friend’s house when they got a new game just so they could learn how to play it. In other word’s talk to me about your most recent board game, and yes I am nerd, geek, and dweeb. If you don’t believe me yet, please refer to the image of me wearing a bow-tie (not shown cargo shorts) to secure my geek-hood. I truly believe that learning, while it can be hard, like climbing up a mountain (and sometimes sliding down a mountain), it should always be full of adventure, laughter, and curiosity. I don’t like going to new places, but I know that experiencing and trying new things is a gift.
To end I will give you random quote I wrote – because I like to make “inspirational” (very loosely) quotes. “If people throw your dreams in the dirt, add some water and make mud pies”
