About Us
Lavender Oaks Learning Academy offers a haven of support for the Christian homeschooling community. We are a hybrid learning landscape embracing a whole-child approach designed to encourage curiosity and inspire a lifelong love of learning. Christian values are at the heart of everything we do and serve as the foundation for our curriculum choice, teacher selection, and character building.
We emphasize hands-on learning, which engages multiple senses and learning styles, promoting active discovery and encouraging practical application. We provide daily opportunities for play, outdoor learning, and exploration of different studies such as fine arts, life skills, and foreign languages. We utilize a combination of curriculum, selected based on their commitment to truth and whole-child learning. We value the benefits of small class sizes and realistic student-to-teacher ratios (10:1), creating a focused and supportive atmosphere. Our aim is to allow teachers, chosen for their passion and experience, the joy of teaching what they love, and the freedom to build upon the curriculum in their own unique ways, fostering creativity and individualization. Additionally, we will organize optional outings such as field trips, meet-ups, and community service projects; fostering a sense of community and enhancing our students’ learning experiences.
At Lavender Oaks Learning Academy we are committed to providing a non-denominational Christian education that integrates faith, values, community, and academic excellence. Our aim is to instill character, foster academic growth, and prepare students for a purposeful and responsible life.

Christ-Centered Approach
At Lavender Oaks Learning Academy, Christian values are at the heart of everything we do.
- Prayer and spiritual foundation: School days will begin with prayer. During that time we will also discuss a Faith based theme, such as integrity. We hope that we can build upon the spiritual foundations our students have brought from their homes and churches.
- Integration of faith in subjects: At times we will integrate biblical stories and values into various subjects, allowing students to understand and apply these principles in their daily lives. We seek wholesome materials with Christian Values.
- We celebrate the righteous freedoms we enjoy in this country. The blessing to be a part of a school united in Christian purpose! We show respect to each family and leave denominational differences to be determined outside the classroom.
- We intentionally create an environment where children can uncover their God-given talents, enabling them to live with a deep sense of purpose, responsibility, and integrity. Our goal is for children to recognize their individual worth through the support of our teachers, our wholesome curriculum, and non-denominational Judeo-Christian principles.
Hands-On Learning
We emphasize hands-on learning, which engages multiple senses and learning styles. It promotes active exploration, and encourages practical application.
- Multi-sensory exploration: Hands-on learning promotes multi-tasking through listening, speaking, touching, and using the senses to explore the environment.
- Practical application: Children actively interact with learning materials and make mistakes as they learn, fostering practical understanding and a growth mindset.
- Hands-on learning examples include building 3D models, conducting family interviews, dissecting specimens, engaging in experiments, cooking a meal, and experiencing firsthand the wonders of microscopic exploration rather than merely reading about them in textbooks.
Real-World Application
Real-world application is a vital aspect of our approach as it bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills. By engaging students in real-world scenarios, they gain a deeper understanding of how concepts and principles apply to their everyday lives.
- Self-reliance principles: We teach budgeting, managing emotions, entrepreneurship, gardening, time management, and the importance of education, showing their relevance in our learning.
- Love for learning: We aim to help students cultivate a love for learning, which empowers them to become independent and responsible as they grow older.
- Goal setting and self-government: We integrate these concepts into our daily routines, enabling students to set and test physical, social, intellectual, and spiritual goals with the support of parents and teachers. We teach the concept of testing the goal, measuring progress, and adjusting when necessary.
- Real-world application extends beyond the classroom, as students engage in:
- Service projects that extend beyond personal needs.
- Meal plan and shop on a budget
- See practical use of geometry on the playground.
- Utilizing school planners with the support of teachers and parents for effective time management
At Lavender Oaks Learning Academy, we are committed to providing a Christ-centered education that integrates faith, values, and academic excellence. Our aim is to instill character, foster academic growth, and prepare students for a purposeful and responsible life.
