Hands-On Christian Hybrid Academy

Cultivating character, community, academic growth, and a lifelong love of learning.

Blending the Best of Homeschooling & Private Education

We feel school should be an extension of Christian Principles often taught at home. Lavender Oaks Learning Academy (LOLA) is a place of support for the homeschooling community that takes a Christ-centered approach. We believe that education during a child’s most impressionable years should encompass the values and core principles taught by Christ such as charity, integrity, and joy. These values serve as the foundation for our curriculum choice, teacher selection and training, and administrative decisions. By integrating biblical principles and values into various subjects, we aim to enable students to understand and apply these principles in their daily lives. This approach promotes an atmosphere of love and freedom, where the most important truths are not forgotten.

Our Hybrid Model

A teacher-facilitated ‘brick and mortar’ school that provides students interaction with a teacher and classmates, but also allows families the ‘gift of time’ and personalization provided by homeschooling.

  • Freedom to customize your child’s learning to their individual needs.

  • Teachers paid to share the joy of teaching what they love, chosen for their passion and experience.

  • Small class sizes and realistic student-to-teacher ratios (12:1 max).

  • Parents & teachers collaborate to build a roadmap for your child’s education.

  • Flexible schedule- 1, 2, or 3 Days options and Al-A-Carte

Educational Philosophy

Christian values are at the heart of everything we do.

  • We intentionally create an environment where children can uncover their God-given talents and a deep sense of purpose.

  • Help children recognize their individual worth and a sense of belonging.

  • Emphasize hands-on learning, engaging multiple senses & learning styles.

  • Promote active exploration to inspire a life-long love of learning.

  • Engaging students in real-world scenarios to gain a deeper understanding of how concepts apply to their everyday lives.

  • Use Good curriculums based in truth, one example is The Good and the Beautiful. The curriculum courses incorporate God, family, nature, beautiful art, and strong moral values.

  • Christ-centered education to instill character, foster academic growth, and prepare students for a purposeful and responsible life.
